The Great Recipe Swap
Every family has a treasure chest of valuable family recipes just waiting to be shared with extended family. And summer brings to mind wonderful family favorites and unique recipes. Purchase some ivory card paper and cut out pieces of paper that fit the envelopes that you mail as invitations to a family reunion. Include a self-addressed, stamped card in each invitation with instructions to mail back the card prior to the reunion with one of the family’s favorite recipes. Encourage them to write them by hand, sign them and include a small photo of themselves in the top right hand corner. A copy center can copy and cut them into 4” x 6” cards and punch holes in the top left corner. Tie the cards together with a small ivory ribbon and include the recipe collection in the reunion welcome package or for use as a farewell gift.
